Architects teach kids today

A career seminar’s scheduled next Thursday to introduce high schoolers to the world of architecture. It’ll be held in Des Moines at the Convention Complex, starting at three o’clock in the afternoon. Barb Schmidt, a consultant for the Iowa chapter of the American Association of Architects, is helping organize the event. Schmidt says the seminar not only focuses on architecture, but on interior design, structural engineering, urban planning, landscape architecture.The Iowa chapter of the American Association of Architects will meet on Thursday in Des Moines for its annual convention.
