The top grain buyer in southwest Iowa has filed for bankruptcy. Creston-based Crestland Cooperative filed the papers Wednesday as the state has suspended the company’s license to buy and store grain. The co-op is trying to find someone else with a grain license to run the operation until Crestland can regain its license. Crestland has about two thousand farmer members with 18 locations in the southwest Iowa region.
