Van Buren County holds annual festival this weekend

(10/13/01)The population of Van Buren County in southeast Iowa will more than double this weekend for the annual “Villages of Van Buren” celebration. Stacey Glandon is the director of tourism for the county. Glandon says the events are open from 10 a-m until 5 p-m Saturday and Sunday.
The feature event is the “Sheers Lumberjack Show” which will perform three times a day. Glandon says they’ll also have the forest craft show at the edge of Lacey-Keosauqua State Park.
Glandon says the events are free and open to the public.
