UNI volleyball team tries to dig out from loss

October 26, 2001 By admin

U-N-I’s women’s volleyball team finds themselves in an unusual position. The 18th-ranked Northern Iowa volleyball team looks to rebound from its first conference loss in four years when they host Southwest Missouri State tomorrow night. First place in the conference race will be on the line. U-N-I is 9-1 in the conference. Southwest Missouri is 9-2. U-N-I lost to Bradley last week, snapping the Panthers’ 69-match conference winning streak. U-N-I still holds another streak that’ll be tested tomorrow night. U-N-I has won 41 straight matches at home — the best in the N-C-double-A.
