The Internal Revenue Service is opening up its office in Des Moines this weekend to help you with your tax problems. The I-R-S is holding another of its national “Problem Solving” days, and the Des Moines office is one of the locations where you can hopefully find answers to your questions. Spokesperson Donna Migazzi says they’ll open the doors in Des Moines at 9 a-m Saturday. She says it’s a good way to wrap up unfinished business with the I-R-S. Migazzi says you don’t have to make an appointment, but it helps speed things along if you do. To set up an appointment, you can call 800-829-1040. Migazzi says if you can’t make it to Des Moines, there’s another way to get help. You should call the I-R-S and ask to speak to the taxpayer advocate’s office. The I-R-S office in Des Moines will be open until 3 p-m Saturday for the problem solving day.
