Northern Iowa coach Mark Farley says it’s fine for his team to dwell on this past weekend’s game. The Panthers used a last-second field goal to win at Western Kentucky and claim the Gateway Conference championship. Farley says they’re all signing the game ball and putting it into the trophy case, as it was a team win, just like the season.Farley admits that under normal circumstances they would want the players to focus on this week’s game, but he’ll let them have an extra day after winning the tile.Farley says the Panthers are back where they should be. On top of the Gateway Conference. He says he’s more proud of the championship as an alumnus, than he is a head coach. The Panthers close out the regular season with a non-conference game against Cal Poly on Saturday.
