John Deere sells stuff on-line

November 24, 2001 By admin

Anyone who wants to buy a memento from Iowa’s largest farm implement dealer can avoid the malls. Quad City-based John Deere now has an Internet-based store. Deere spokeswoman Tia Watson says the new on-line John Deere store features all sorts of apparel, accessories and the popular metal replicas of tractors, combines and other farm equipment. Watson says the items on “www.johndeeregifts.com” range well beyond toys. For an extra fee, on-line customers can get their purchases gift-wrapped in John Deere green paper with a yellow ribbon.
