A group of Stuart residents restoring the burned-out All-Saints church may be able to open a small chapel in the back of the church for weddings and other events by Christmas.Tom Small, vice-president of “Project Restore,” explains to open the chapel they still need to finish some walls, install the altar, and hang lighting sconces. Small says they’re still looking for donations for final touches like carpet. The old church was badly damaged in 1995 when an arsonist said he set it afire to “dispel the myth of Christ.” That man, Charles Willard, is currently serving a 25-year sentence for the crime.
