Kids plead guilty in vandalism case

November 28, 2001 By admin

Three Delaware County kids have pleaded guilty to criminal mischief for wrecking tombstones in a cemetery. An 11-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy from Manchester, and an 11-year-old girl from Ryan pleaded guilty to causing more than 100-thousand dollars damage to the Oakland cemetery in Manchester on August 8th. The three kids have been ordered to perform a substantial amount of community service work — including cleaning up the cemetery and paying restitution to those who owned the damaged tombstones. Another 11-year-old kid from Manchester pleaded not guilty to aiding and abetting the three tombstone-wreckers.
