A pickup truck and a train collided yesterday afternoon in southern Iowa’s Appanoose County, killing two men and a boy. The victims are identified as pickup truck driver 29-year-old David McVeigh of Mystic, 37-year-old John Martin of rural Moravia and Martin’s five-year-old son, Avery. The Union Pacific train was operated by I-and-M Raillink. The wreck happened around 4 p-m Sunday near Rathbun.
