December 11, 2001 By admin

Grinnell police have arrested six young men who’re believed to be about half the members of a suspected crime gang. Police Captain Tim Sittig says the six are accused in a series of at least 50 burglaries. The boys are all between 11 and 16-years-old and are all in middle school. Two of the boys attend school outside Grinnell. Captain Sitting says the burglaries took place from August through November. He says he’s not sure if the group qualifies as a gang.Items allegedly taken mostly from cars include: C-Ds, cellular phones, cameras, a laptop computer and cigarette lighters.
