December 15, 2001 By admin

The fifth ranked Iowa State women open their own tournament tonight by taking on Niagara. The Cyclones improved to 7-0 after a Wednesday victory over Iowa. Lindsey Wilson had a career-high 29-points and coach Bill Fennelly says her play at point guard has been a big reason for their early success. He says the loss of Erica Junod to injury has forced Wilson to pick up more of the load this year. He says Wilson has responded and done a great job of leading the team.Eastern Kentucky and Valparaiso meet in the other first round game.
