Two charged in death of Marion pizza deliveryman

January 8, 2002 By admin

Two people are now charged in yesterday’s murder of a 31-year-old pizza delivery man in Marion. Police say robbery and car theft may’ve been the motives in the slaying of Pizza Hut delivery man Greg Wells of Cedar Rapids, who was on his next-to-last delivery of the night and only had 20-dollars in his pouch. Charged are: 17-year-old David Keegan of Marion and 20-year-old Brandy Byrd, no known address. An autopsy will be performed today on Wells. The cause of death had not been released. The body was found at Keegan’s apartment. It’s Marion’s first murder in five years.
