Iowa looks to rebound from Big Ten loss

The 13th-ranked Iowa Hawkeyes return to Big Ten action at home tonight against Northwestern. The Hawkeyes are 1-1 in conference play after a loss at Ohio State and coach Steve Alford says the Hawks needs to be more efficient at the offensive end.Alford says Northwestern has made good progress under second-year coach Bill Carmody as they’ve gotten off to a great start. Alford says it’s a big game for both teams as they’re both coming off a loss.Northwestern opened the league race with a loss to Indiana and Carmody says it doesn’t get an easier against the Hawkeyes. Carmody believes this is a different type of Iowa team which is real fast and pushes the ball more than last year.Carmody says to be more competitive this season the Wildcats need to play with more emotion.
