UNI looks to get back on home winning track

Northern Iowa hosts Indiana State in Missouri Valley Conference action. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season after the Panthers posted a come from behind win in Terre Haute. U-N-I coach Greg McDermott says after dropping their last game at home to Southwest Missouri State, the Panthers need to reestablish home court advantage. He says they need to take some pride in their defense to make it a game.Senior guard Robbie Sieverding was named the Valley player of the week. McDermott says Sieverding has been outstanding with the game on the line in the waning moments. He says it’s not something you can coach, it’s Sieverding’s feel for the game.At 5-2, the Panthers are just a game out of first in the Valley race.
