Hawks look to salvage season

The Iowa Hawkeyes open the second half of the Big Ten race tomorrow at home against Penn State. The Hawks have been off this week and coach Steve Alford says after a disappointing 3-5 first half record, the Hawks want to finish strong. He says it won’t be easy, but the team is capable of doing it.Alford says the Hawks needed the week off. He says they’ve practiced well in the week and made strides in areas where they need work.
