Sectional wrestling gets underway tonight

February 8, 2002 By admin

Sectional wrestling begins for class 1A and 2A teams tomorrow. Belle Plaine claimed the traditional and dual meet titles in 1A last season and the Plainsmen had a challenging dual schedule this year that coach Bob Yelek feels paid off. Belle Plaine won a tenth-straight South Iowa Cedar League championship last week and will see nearly the same group of teams in the sectional at Marengo. He says they know they’ll face the teams again and they’ll be ready to wrestle hard.
