Eastern Iowans will no longer have nonstop flights between Cedar Rapids and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. U-S Airways officials say planes used in the routes are needed now for East Coast flights. The airline initiated the non-stop to Pittsburgh in August using 50-seat jets with two daily flights, expanding to 3 flights a day due to customer demand. Last month, U-S Airways announced nonstop service to Kansas City from Cedar Rapids would be cancelled, but then reversed itself and decided to keep those flights operating.
