Iowan teaches Western music

February 16, 2002 By admin

An Iowa man will take a musical message from the Old West of the U-S to European schoolkids. A self-taught musician from Dubuque County will travel to Budapest, Hungary, later this month to teach American music at a special conference for students in grades K-12. Keith Yoder of Farley will sing and play at a special Share Family Education conference from February 25 through March 1. The theme for the event is “Westward Ho,” so Yoder will focus on folk and western music. His trip to Hungary was made possible by his sister who’s in charge of education for missionary children.
