Former Davenport woman survives deadly robbery

March 12, 2002 By admin

A former Davenport woman who once was convicted of murder is the only survivor of a deadly shooting in Dade County, Florida. 38-year-old Barbara Nunn is in fair condition after being shot in the head during a robbery at a Waffle House in Davie, Florida, where she worked. Two other employees were shot dead in the 5 a.m. Monday holdup. Police have arrested and charged one man in the case and are looking for another. In 1983, when Nunn was 19, she was convicted in Scott County of second-degree murder for stabbing her boyfriend to death following an argument. In 1991, Nunn received an early release from prison and later was convicted of theft. She moved to Florida last June.
