A Montour man was formally charged with several crimes today after an incident Monday in which he allegedly stole two cars. 21-year-old Brenton Roberts allegedly got into an accident Monday while driving the car of his friend’s dad without permission. Police say he then proceeded to steal the car of man who stopped to help him. He followed that by allegedly stealing a truck of someone who stopped to help him after he had an accident with the stolen car. Roberts was caught after a police chase in the truck and now faces charges ranging from simple traffic violations to attempted murder.
