Iowa Coach lines up success

April 2, 2002 By admin

Since Kirk Ferentz took over as the head coach at Iowa the offensive line has made progress each season. The line is now the most experienced spot on the team with 10-players back from last year, including tackle David Porter who was granted an added year of eligibility. Ferentz says it’ll be good to have an experienced line back. Ferentz says the improvement of the offensive line has been a big part of Iowa’s improvement. He says you have to be strong in both lines to have a good football team. Ferentz says the players have taken enough knocks that he’s not worried about them becoming complacent. Ferentz says it is a group that has experience and confidence.
