Davenport man’s death ruled a homicide

A Rock Island County, Illinois, Coroner’s jury is ruling an accident that killed a Davenport man was a case of reckless homicide.22-year-old Tamaro Owens died February 6th when the car in which he was a backseat passenger went out of control leaving a Rock Island exit ramp, slid broadside into a tree then rolled onto its top. Two other passengers received minor injuries. Police say the driver of the car, 19-year-old Bert Clark of Davenport, was legally drunk at the time of the crash. He is in jail and goes on trial May 13th.
