More info out on fatal shooting in Southeast Iowa

Authorities in southeast Iowa are releasing details now of a fatal shooting Tuesday night near Savannah in Davis County. 43-year-old Robert Carter of Pryor, Oklahoma was found dead of a gunshot wound in the front yard of a house owned by of Donald Hines of Bloomfield. Hines was out of town at the time of the shooting. Police arrested 31-year-old Ricardo McGlothlin at the scene. He is facing charges of first-degree murder. Police said McGlothlin’s last known address was Jay, Oklahoma. The two men were reportedly hitchhikers who were staying at Hines’ home. An autopsy was done Wednesday. The results should be available soon.
