Former quarterback says his new charge has a lot of potential

June 12, 2002 By admin

Terry Allen is roaming the state of Iowa once again after a stint as the head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks. Allen returns to his native state as an assistant at Iowa State University. During a recent Cyclone Club outing, the former quarterback talked about the Cyclone’s signal caller, who is a potential Heisman Trophy candidate. Allen says Seneca Wallace may be better than a certain quarterback he coached at Northern Iowa who went on to be an NFL MVP. He says Kurt Warner was a pretty good quarterback, and Wallace has a chance to make a name for himself if ISU wins some games.Allen says Wallace could end up being another great talent to come out of an Iowa-based college.Wallace last season passed for over two thousand yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for 475 yards on 114 carries with seven touchdowns.
