Bill includes money for 185th switch in Sioux City

The military construction bill is scheduled to come up on the floor of the U-S House today. Iowa congressman Tom Latham says an Iowa facility will benefit from the bill as it includes 11-point-seven million dollars for the conversion of the 185th Iowa Air National Guard Unit in Sioux City. The 185th is being converted from F-16 fighters to large tanker airplanes.Latham says the conversion is on track. Latham, a republican, currently represents the fifth district, but is running for re-election in the new fourth district.
