Local issues up for vote in Kingsley and Akron-Westfield

July 2, 2002 By admin

Voters in a few Iowa towns are going to the polls today in special elections. Kingsley voters are deciding whether to establish a city-owned utility for telephone, cable t-v and Internet service. If approved, the city would enter into a partnership with Ever-Tech, a Pocahontas business, to provide wireless service to the community. Also today, Akron-Westfield school district voters are deciding whether to reduce the number of members on the local school board.
