Bikers gather in Algona

A bunch of bikers who bought their own park are holding their annual gathering on their own land for the first time.The 18th annual ABATE Freedom Rally is making its first appearance in Algona. 15-thousand bikers are expected to cruise into the community for a weekend of band concerts and camaraderie. Biker John Connor of Cedar Rapids says it doesn’t matter what kind of trouble you get into, people will help you out. And biker Brad O’Gara of Cedar Rapids calls “like Disneyland for adults,” getting to enjoy the weekend with fellow Harley fans.
