Sanderson named Big Twelve Male Athlete of the Year

Former Iowa State University wrestler Cael Sanderson’s has yet another trophy for the mantle. Sanderson is the 2002 Big 12 Male athlete of the year. Sanderson finished his wrestling career undefeated and with four national titles. Oklahoma State basketball player Stacey Dales-Schuman was the female athlete of the year. Sanderson is the fifth Cyclone male to bring home the honor, the last was Fred Hoiberg, a co-winner in 1995 when it was still the Big Eight conference. Sanderson is currently working as an assistant to the ISU athletic director as he awaits the World Championships later this year.
