A Davenport man is headed to the slammer for 30 months after a traffic death. 20-year-old Bert Clark has been sentenced in Rock Island County District Court. He pled guilty last month to a felony charge of reckless homicide. That’s in connection with a car accident that killed 22-year-old Tamaro Owens of Davenport last February in Rock Island. Owens was a passenger in Clark’s car when it went out of control, left an off-ramp and hit a tree. Owens was dead on arrival. In exchange for Clark’s guilty plea, prosecutors dropped some other charges.
