Police say Marion man set his own trailor on fire

Police in Marion are investigating an arson case that is also an attempted suicide.Firefighters were called out just before nine o’clock last night on the report of an explosion and fire at a mobile home. Emergency crews rescued a man who was suffering from severe burns. The man was transferred from a Cedar Rapids hospital to University Hospitals in Iowa City. His name and condition have not been released. Police say they found gas in the living room where the fire started and later found a suicide note.
