Some folks who live north of Oelwein are planning a trip to the capital city, but it’s not a recreational jaunt. Residents of Fayette County are proposing to travel to Des Moines in the near future to voice their concerns about a proposed hoglot outside the community of WestGate. The group wants to rent a bus to go visit with the Environmental Protection Commission. Residents say the hoglot operation is too close for comfort and will compromise their health and quality of life.
