ISU may be without Alexander for Texas Tech

February 10, 2003 By admin

The availability of Iowa State center Chris Alexander for Wednesday’s game at home against Texas Tech is uncertain. Alexander did not travel with the Cyclones to Colorado citing a family emergency.Assistant coach Steve Barnes says Alexander’s baby is very ill and that’s why he was not with the team. Larry Eustachy was a no-show on today’s Big-12 teleconference. The Cyclones are 2-6 in the league race after a loss at Colorado and Barnes says the Cyclones are like a number of teams out there that are struggling on the road.Barnes says the Cyclones need a good effort at home against Tech. Texas Tech is coached by former Indiana coach Bobby Knight.
