ISU Coach says key is at the table to do well on the field

April 3, 2003 By admin

Iowa State coach Dan McCarney has been pushing the buffet table during this off-season. Following last December’s loss in the Humanitarian Bowl McCarney said the Cyclones need to get bigger on both sides of the ball to help them take the next step in Big-12 action. McCarney says the efforts have seen results. He says they’ve addressed it and put things in place to make sure they have mandatory meals and breakfast to target the guys that need to add some weight. McCarney feels the plan is working, as he says they’ve had some good weight gains during the winter. Iowa State’s spring game is April 19th.
