Iowa alters Spring game due to injuries

April 8, 2003 By admin

Iowa’s spring game on April 19th may not look like much of as game at all. Hawkeye coach Kirk Ferentz says they are looking at some options in hopes of keeping the team healthy going into next season. Fred Russell is the lone running back on scholarship after Jermelle Lewis tore the A-C-L in his left knee during a practice last Tuesday. Ferentz says it may end up being a more controlled scrimmage which means much of the kicking game would be left out.
