Dean launches tv campaign ads

June 16, 2003 By admin

Democratic presidential candidate Howard Dean has purchased air time to launch a television ad campaign in Iowa. Dean says he’s been in Iowa more than anyone else running for President this time around, but still hasn’t campaigned in half of Iowa’s 99 counties. Dean says the ad will help him “talk to people” he’s not met in person. In the ad, Dean says it’s time for Democrats to be Democrats again. Dean says Democrats will only win if they stand up against the President’s agenda. Dean says the President’s tax cuts have gutted a lot programs and caused property tax increases for many Americans. He says Democrats have been too “cowed” by Bush, and Dean says it’s time for Democrats to beat the President “by telling the truth.” Dean says over two-point-seven million Americans have lost their jobs while Bush has been president, and Dean says the President’s tax policies will make job losses “more likely, not less likely.” Dean is a doctor and was Governor of Vermont from 1991 ’til January of this year.
