Two arrested in WalMart thefts

June 28, 2003 By admin

Manchester police have issued arrest warrants for four people from Chicago and Milwaukee in connection with a string of thefts at Midwestern WalMart stores. They’re looking for Roger Stone and Darlisa Cannon of Chicago, and Shimick Cannon and Shannon Sopko who are both from Milwaukee. The complaint says they conspired to buy merchandise from WalMarts using closed checking accounts and then return the items to other WalMarts for cash. The suspects were recently arrested in Waterloo, and are being held in Bremer County jail on similar charges. Manchester police are still conducting their investigation into the alleged theft ring.
