Darke looks to continue momentum of two wins

September 18, 2003 By admin

The Drake Bulldogs will try to build momentum as they visit Wisconsin-Platteville. Drake is 2-1 after last week’s win over Missouri-Rolla and coach Rob Ash says the confidence level is rising. He says he feels some momentum building and that’s helping in practice. Ash is concerned about a letdown after three games against scholarship programs. He says the other teams were monstrous and this team is smaller. The defense has several starters injured but Ash says quality depth has been a plus as it makes them more able to survive the injuries.
