Fake gun causes problems at Spencer Middle School

September 19, 2003 By admin

A cigarette lighter that looks like a handgun is causing problems in Spencer. Spencer police say they’ve been called to the middle school twice in the last week on the report of student with a handgun. Both times it turned out that the student had a cigarette lighter that looked like a gun. It’s believed the gun lighter was purchased as the Clay County Fair. No criminal charges will be filed, but school officials say the lighter violates their policies and they’ll deal with it.
