Iowa State uses off week to heal mentally and physically

October 27, 2003 By admin

Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says this week will be used for healing and rest. The Cyclones are idle this week after a 28-0 loss at Nebraska, their sixth straight loss this season. He says they’re going to try and finish the second half of the Big 12 season on a positive note.McCarney says there are no plans for big changes before next week’s game with Kansas State. The week off could allow several of the injured players to return to the lineup.Several freshman have seen the field this season. McCarney says a number of the other players in that class have bright futures as well, and will be in the hunt for a lot of playing time next year.
