Remson woman marries in jail while awaiting trial for son’s murder

November 4, 2003 By admin

It was a match made in — jail. A northwest Iowa woman who’s charged in the murder of her son was married to another inmate Monday at the Plymouth County Jail. 35-year-old Lisa Marie Boss of Remsen and 27-year-old Joseph Green of Oakland, Nebraska, listed the jail address on their application for a marriage license. Boss is to be tried next month on charges of murder, child endangerment and kidnapping. Green is charged with arson, possession of stolen property, assault on a police officer, eluding law enforcement and carrying weapons. Boss and Green were not near each other during the ceremony. Visitation or contact between men and women at the jail is not allowed. Boss was granted a dissolution of her marriage to Donald Boss last month.
