The Iowa leg of a cross-country highway project is getting closer to completion. A ribbon cutting near Nashua tomorrow will mark the opening of the last northeast Iowa section of the Avenue of the Saints. The actual opening of Highway 27 has been delayed until later this month by rainy weather. Several special guests have been invited to the event, including Governor Vilsack. The Avenue of the Saints connects St. Paul, Minnesota and St. Louis, Missouri and runs 536 miles.
