The annual commemoration of Buddy Holly’s final performance is going on in Clear Lake, Iowa. Three days and nights of music featuring live bands that performed around the region in the last several decades will entertain visitors from around the nation and several foreign countries. The owner of the Surf Ballroom says more people come from outside the state than from within Iowa’s borders, to revisit their youth and tell each other stories.
