Grinnell tennis team off to good start

The Grinnell mens’ tennis team is off to a 12-3 start this season and coach Andy Hamilton is in his ninth year as coach and says a school record is in sight. He says their school record is 15 wins and they have 11 matches left, so he expects them to get to it pretty quickly. Hamilton has more goals in mind that the record number of wins. He says he told his team if they really go to work, they could be a conference championship team, and he says that’s still his focus. Hamilton says all they work they’re doing is geared toward winning the conference.He says they’ve beaten some quality teams and put together a tough schedule so they’ll be used to playing tough players when they get to the conference tournament. Hamilton says the team’s depth is its strong point.
