There will not be a post-season for the Upper Iowa softball team but it has been a record breaking season nonetheless. With the school’s move to the division-two level the team is not eligible to win the Iowa Conference title or play in a post season tournament. Still, the Peacocks have put together a school record for wins. They stand 26-16 heading into the final week of the season. Upper Iowa coach Brent Kuker says the success will help as the program moves to division-two next season. This season will be the second straight winning season for the program, the first time that has happened. Kuker says their success is helping him on the recruiting trail. The Peacocks host Central this afternoon in their final home appearance. They wrap up the season Friday at Wartburg.
