Central begins softball title defense

Central College opens the defense of its division three national softball title as the Dutch host an NCAA regional in Pella. Central is seeded third and opens against Clarke College. The Crusaders and coach Cara Clark are making their second straight trip to the regionals. She says it will be a challenge, but she says the experience from last year will help.Clark says the Crusaders are familiar with two of the teams in the regional, Central and Maryville.Central swept Clarke in a mid-season doubleheader.
