Iowa’s Governor is asking federal officials to evaluate springtime crop losses in Iowa to determine if farmers may be eligible for federal disaster aid. Governor Tom Vilsack has asked the Farm Services Agency to do a survey to determine crop losses due to flooding and tornadoes. Vilsack says the survey will hopefully help “quantify” losses which may make more help available to “farmers who’ve been negatively impacted by recent storms.”
