Missing anchorwoman remembered

June 28, 2004 By admin

North-central Iowans quietly remembered this weekend’s ninth anniversary of the disappearance of a Mason City TV anchorwoman. Sunday marked the ninth anniversary of the disappearance of K-I-M-T TV anchorwoman Jodi Huisentruit. Huisentruit has been missing since June 27th 1995 after failing to show up for her morning show. Police believe she was abducted as she went to her car in her apartment parking lot after talking with co-workers earlier that morning as she was running late for work. Family members are hoping that someone will come forward with information to solve the case. Mason City investigators say they’ve followed thousands of tips and interviewed more than a-thousand people, but admit they are not much closer than they were years ago to solving the mystery.
