Coach returns to familiar territory at Central College

July 8, 2004 By admin

Eric Reed is no stranger to the Central College wrestling program. The Oskaloosa native has been named the new head coach at Central after two years as the head coach at Wabash College in Indiana. He grew up in Oskaloosa and was an assistant at Central for two years. Reed led Wabash to a second place finish at the division-three midwest regional this past season but is looking forward to a return to the battles of the Iowa Conference. Reed has learned the importance of recruiting the past two years. Wabash is an all male school so he says getting recruits to the school was a lot of work.He replaces Matt Diehl, who resigned after seven years on the job.
