Iowa State offensive lineman Luke Vander Sanden hopes to finish his Cyclone career on the field. Vander Sandfen return to the line-up in ISU’s loss at Oklahoma State after missing much of the first part of the season. Vander Sanden has battled injury for much of his career. He missed four games in 2003 and in 2002 played in only two games after suffering two broken legs. The injuries have made him savor every chance to play, as he says you never know when you last play could be, so you can’t take anything for granted. A good first step was coming out of the Oklahoma State game healthy. He says he doesn’t through a game thinking about making it through the game, but he says he is relieved looking back. The Cyclones entertain Texas A@M this weekend in their annual homecoming game.
